This was simply delightful to read. I do the same thing — get a little morsel that tickles the imagination about a historical person that makes me want to learn more about that person, and off I go. Such fun journeys, these, and it brings historical people to life, knowing they dealt with trials and tribulations we all deal with, privileged or not. In the end, we are all people, after all.
