This is so heartbreaking - I do hope he’s still around, and this finds it’s way to him so he can hear these wonderful words you’ve written about him. I got to know a brilliant young writer on another platform years ago who I’m pretty certain did end what had become, for him, an intolerable life. It was a tough loss. He, too, just disappeared without a trace. Ughh
