Ramona, this really warmed my heart. Where I grew up, in Pittsburgh, we had relatives who lived on a farm in nearby Butler, where we would go up for a horse drawn wagon ride through the adjacent forest, then back to the farm, where a huge bonfire was stoked, and the huge family and friends would gather around, there’s be a pig roasting on a spit, corn on the cob cooking right in the ashes of the fire, in soaked husks, and songs sung — glorious memories that your story reminded me of — thank you!
