On the platform I used to post on, Cowbird, which I dearly loved,I was far and away the most prolific story-poster. I posted 2,000 stories in 5 years. They had this thing called “Story of the Day”. I didn’t get my first story picked for that until after I had posted 550 stories. In those 5 years, I only ever got one other story selected for SOD. Some of the crap that got selected — I could never figure out what their criteria was. I finally decided I just had to write for my own pleasure, and for those who could appreciate my point of view. I gave up on pleasing the mysterious curators who slithered around behind the scenes, never ever accountable or transparent about what they were looking for. We’re out here laying it all on the line, bearing our Goddamn souls, and they could care less. I say to those damn curators, “All you Zombies, show your face” — who are they? Who cares?

Connecting the dots. Storytelling helps me to make sense of this world, and of my life. I love writing and reading. Writing is like breathing, for me.
