Jon and Daenerys and company defeat Cersei and her cowardly hordes, but can’t come to terms over which of them deserves to sit on the Iron Throne. They eventually decide it’s not worth the hassle, and leave it to Sansa, who declines, only wanting to rule the North. They put it a democratic vote, and Arya, who saved mankind by killing the Night King, wins in a landslide, and becomes the first democratic ruler of the land.
