I didn’t really start writing until after my suicidal summer following high school graduation, then my first serious heartbreak. The back-to-back combination of those two events resulted in my first poem, followed quickly by about 30 more, and I’ve been writing ever since. So I’ll go with crazy first, then writing. I believe it sets the creative stage.
