Best process I know is to just show up, and write. Don’t wait to be inspired, just write. Start with a thread of a thought, pick it up, and follow it to wherever it leads. Not in your head — on the page. Just start writing, following that thread, and don’t stop until you reach the end of the thread. Don’t worry about editing until it’s all out. Works well, when I work it.
